Raphael Melgar

Raphael Melgar is a research development engineer with the Sonic Arts R&D team at the Qualcomm Institute, University of California, San Diego. His work primarily consists of developing and testing experimental audio technologies, such as novel multichannel immersive audio systems and signal processing software.

Raphael is a graduate of U.C. San Diego’s Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts program with an emphasis in computer music. He also enjoys composing electronic music and designing custom software instruments and audio effects.
